By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, following the tragedy at the Railway station in Novi Sad on 1st of November 2024, where fourteeen personnes tragically lost their lives, Saturday 2 November 2024 was proclaimed  the National Mourning Day in the Republic of Serbia.

The Book of Condolences will be opened from 10 to 18 hours on 4 November 2024 at the premisis of the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the Council of Europe. 

The Consulate of the Republic of Serbia express sincere condolences to the families of the victims. 

         On the occasion of commemorating the Day of Victory over Fascism in the Second World War, the delegation of the Republic of Serbia headed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Council of Europe Suzana Grubješić and the Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Strasbourg, Dr. Slavoljub Carić, visited the Kronenburg Military Cemetery in Strasbourg, where, among others, soldiers are buried from Serbia.

        On that occasion, a laurel wreath with a commemorative text written on a ribbon in the color of the national flag was placed on the main monument to the fallen fighters.

On March 15, 2024, Consul Slavoljub Carić attended the opening ceremony of the Francophonie Week in Strasbourg.  On that occasion, he met with Jean Hansmaennel, president of the French Alliance in Strasbourg and Denia Bahadir Ben El Habbes, director of the French Alliance in Strasbourg. He introduced them to the decision of the Government of the RS that the Republic of Serbia becomes a full member of the Organization for Francophonie. He also spoke about the numerous ties between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of France in the field of education and culture.
During the Francophonie week, which officially begins on March 18, 2024, there will be three conferences, an evening of music and poetry from Africa and the Caribbean, as well as a painting exhibition called "Beyond the Border".

Consul of the Republic of Serbia, Dr. Slavoljub Carić, attended the celebration of the patron saint Petka in Lougres, for the territory of parishes of Montbéliard and Belfort.

The lithurgy was celebrated by Serbian orthodox priests Petar Lukić and Maksim Ilić.

On May 18th,. the 1st Consulate Days were held, with more than 27 of the 44 representative missions in Strasbourg who took part, enabling large audiences to discover the role and function of consulates: representing their countries and their citizens, and helping their citizens.

On October 20, 2019 in the City House of Kirgesheim municipality, near Miluz, organized by the Nikola Tesla Club, the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War was marked by the projection of documentary film "Serbia in the Great War" by author Slađana Zarić. In addition, in the town's foyer, on that day, visitors could see an exhibition of Serbian-French friendship during the First World War, authored by Alexis Troude, a professor of geopolitics at the University of Versailles.

In department of Yonne (Jon), in the city of Sans, organized by the Association "Sumadija -Sans", an opening of exhibition of Serbian-French friendship during the First World War was attended by representatives of local authorities, our citizens, Alexis Troude, professor of geopolitics of the University of Versailles and Consul of RS in Strasbourg.

The Republic of Serbia, was invited by Roland Riss, Mayor of Strasbourg and the organized of Festival of Comic book, to be an Honorary guest of the Comic book Festival in Strasbourg which was held for the 11th time this year.
